The glorious and bright future of Blended Learning
Learning has now become easier in comparison to past times. This truth is prevailing in the educational market even before COVID-19. And because of pandemic it has took up speed and things got changed even more not only in educational world but in all the fields.
It is easier in many terms like; students do not always need to go to school or coaching classes or any sort of classes physically because everything is online now. Students can easily see the recorded videos at their place only. Things getting online changed everything from basics to the top. Students are now having access to their studies from anywhere, anytime. And so online has changed and enhanced the ways of learning.
What is Blended learning?
Blended learning is all about learning in physical environment and as an option at times online. Before pandemic blended learning was a concept that was not focused by majority. But now because of pandemic the focus has directly got shifted towards online learning, and blended learning has become an ultimate option for solution.
It is all about having both online and offline classes depending on the need of the student. This concept came into existence keeping student at focus. The integration of both online and offline modes of learning forms blended learning.
A student focused concept
No doubt blended learning is a student focused concept. In this concept students were given the authority of deciding for their time usage like how they are supposed to invest their time in their studies is up to them, which subject they want to learn first or which to keep for later times.
Blended learning somehow at times prefers spoon-feeding and at times focuses on teaching students how to do things themselves. So it has its own type of privileges. As this is the truth that it increases the load on teachers but on contrary it gives them the opportunity to make their students ready for many upcoming challenges that they may never see coming on their own.
Is Blended learning useful?
It has been told in one of the reports earlier that blended learning has increased the achievements of students in comparison to other ways of learning. So yes we can say that it is useful, each and everything that is existing in this world has its own plus and minus points. The thing that matters is what is overcoming what, like what exactly matters, we need to focus on the plus ones. It has got many good and meaningful plus points.
Are traditional ways of learning going to sink in near future?
Clear answer, it’s a NO! Going online, being available all the time is a good option only when required, not all the times. Not only online learning could help, no any school or institution will be able to focus on their student’s personality development online. This we all are aware of, that personality development of students is an essential requirement. Students also need to learn how to interact all this can only happen when students are marking their physical presence.
Modernization is good, but traditional ways for everything have its own essence and reason behind its presence. That minimizes many of our problems, which nobody among us could deny. Everything has its own importance getting modern does not ask from us to forget the importance of traditional ways. Brick and mortar type or physical type institutions are required and available from all the times, all the places we accept it! But from now we also need to shift our focus from physical classrooms to digital availability or classrooms or they should be present in parallel world to the students so that their studies should not get hampered in any situation.
For following blended learning, schools, educational institutions, coaching classes all of them have to work a little more. This is a required thing, because those who have not heard about the blended learning concept earlier need more emphasis for this change. They need proper set-up, technology, teachers with required update especially technical update.
Conclusion says:
Both the mediums of learning whether online or offline have their own importance, none of them could be removed from the learning system. And both of them have their own and different experiences.
Blended learning is of course having a bright future ahead especially because of the pandemic that we are going through. It has automatically directed the education system towards the online world. Now both of the types of learning are supposed to prevail together. It is going to be of co-existing in nature.
On contrary what the system expects from the givers and takers, i.e. teachers and students; is their cooperation and dedication in order to learn from new ways. It will take time in the initial phases to adjust but with the passage of time things will soon be okay.
