How going online became the only option for necessities like education during COVID-19?

Educations sector a booming industry during and post pandemic of course! No one among us ever realized that boom can come this way and it will change everything we are following since years. In India all of us know that we encountered COVID-19 in February, 2020!

Before that things were running normally, smoothly and in the way they were expected to run. But, right after the pandemic reached us we started panicking, we were not at all sorted like from where to start and how to manage things in the following situation.

Our government too was trying to bring out a solution to this problem, but as this was already clear to all of us that until and unless vaccine for this pandemic problem is not there a permanent solution to this it is not possible. And so for the sake of the nation’s health our government decided to bring a pause to everything and every field for some time, at least till the vaccine comes.

But this entire vaccine thing was taking so much time and holding up on everything was not possible. As wastage of even a single minute costs a lot in so many terms, and so for the time being a solution came namely, ONLINE. Yes, not to our surprise the prevailing option became the solution. We were surfing and doing things online already but not all of us were there and not all the things were preferred online before pandemic.

We were watching movies online, studying online a little, completing courses to our help online, learning how to cook online, and shopping online. A long list for such similar things in the row which we were already doing online, but we were not relied on it solely. But as the pandemic hit, we realized the importance of doing things online and we switched to online completely.

In fact those who never had a smart phone they too understood the importance of the smart phone and internet and purchased one. And in the row if we talk about education industry then for sure, the greatest boom and change came to education industry. Syllabus was same, data was same, students were same, teachers were same, and management was same. But the only thing that got changed was the medium of studying for students, or the medium of delivering knowledge for teachers.

Yes! Here came the biggest change, in the education sector. Nobody ever realized that a pandemic can happen and change the whole processing of studying for everybody.

What changes came to education sector during pandemic?

• Physical, chalk & duster, brick & mortar requiring classes are called off.
• Attending classes being physically present to the classroom is not at all permitted.
• Live classes are now the only option left during pandemic to attend classes.
• Usage of internet is massive during pandemic.
• Parents perception for online got changed.
• Immediate response for any query from any student is now became very easy.
• Shy students too started keeping their doubts in front of their teachers.
• Students can easily learn from the comfort of their homes.
• Students can take classes whenever they are free.

Pandemic brought a list of change to all the sectors, but in education sector the above written points count in for the change that is applied during COVID-19. Well, these points just initiate the list; no doubt if we will start counting, the list could cross many numbers easily.

What changes are supposed to be a part of students lives post pandemic?

• Blended learning will come into existence.
• Students will have the flexibility in learning.
• Technology will become an essential and inseparable part of their study material.
• A little distance will always be there in between two student’s seats.
• Masks and sanitizers will get included in the list of students dress material.
• Payment of fees can be done online post pandemic./li>

All these were countable things that are going to get changed post pandemic in the lives of students. But when we will reach practically to that situation, guess a long list will come up if talking in words for the change to be listed.

Everything happens for a reason, and whatever happened during pandemic too brought a big change to the world in so many manners, not just the education sector all the sectors saw a massive change. It is just on us, that how we are coping with this change. If in a positive way then good for us, but if in a negative way then definitely it is not good for us because no matter what, we cannot undo anything in here. We will have to, and we should evolve with this change.
